We had a lovely stay at Alpes, a clean and comfortable room, clean bathroom and lovely common areas. The view from upstairs is just to die for!!! We didnu2019t get a chance to try the food or drinks or the jacuzzi, but Iu2019d definitely go back just for that :) we didnu2019t have the best first impression because the entrance looks rather strange and even dodgy (no sign, just a regular building lobby) but that changed once we arrived upstairs! The staff were also super friendly and helpful.
I originally booked for one night but ended up extending my stay with two nights. The staff are so friendly and helpful at all times. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Best showers I had so far in a hostel - hot with a lot of water pressure. Hot tub on the roof was perfect to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast is not included but is really tasty and cheap though.
This place sucked. The sheets were disgusting, barely covered the bed, stains everywhere. The hot tub is not hot, just a gimmick. The younger staff were nice but the guy who was seemingly the manager was rude and cold. Iu2019ve been traveling for over 2 years and this was hands down the worst experience Iu2019ve ever had. Iu2019m not sure what regulatory standards are expected from Peruvian hostels, but this certainly did not meet those standards. Would never stay here again.
I was super impressed by this backpackers spot and would 100% recommend staying here. There are a bunch of communal areas that are nice to hang out in and meet other travelers. The environment inside the hostel is clean, bright, and has a nice relaxing vibe. Itu2019s a nice place to take break from the city. The people who work there are nice and super helpful. Had AC in my private room . They also have a gym!
The property where the dorms are seemed pretty good, but as we had booked a private, our stay started out with climbing 4 flights of stairs with all of our bags to check in, filling out a ridiculously long registry (plus provided our passports which is all any other place has needed), then being led back down the 4 flights of stairs, down the block, and up to our room. At 2330, it just sucked. The room was fine, kitchen area had sticky counters but otherwise seemed clean. Light from the hall flooded the roo
